D_____ said his party was still on! Like most of his get-togethers, there was pool in his garage and lots of food. This time, he had borrowed a really nice projector and had a movie going from his laptop, and a lot of beach umbrellas. I sat on a covered porch swing with a beer, and watched "The Hangover" while my feet got rained on, and somebody was a DJ with the ipod. I really felt like I was being where I was and when I was (in CA in 2010.)

Saturday I got up at 7 and went to the barn. Denise's friend took us to Hometown Buffet with her family for breakfast. The lady with the pugs and another, didn't show up because it was still raining. We picked up two horse-crazy teenagers and we were off to the Equine Affaire.
I don't have a horse so I had no need of $100 boots (that go on the horse!) on sale for $15 and saddles covered with fake rhinestones that cost more than my car. Still, I got several free samples of food, (some of it was dog food, and I bet my rabbit can eat the others,) magazines, posters and even some mane and tail conditioner, which every girl knows is better than any human hair products.
Denise said this Gypsy looked like Gene Simmons from KISS. I was like, wha?

Oh, I see.

We only had time to see one trainer's clinic in the arena. Denise said we had to see this one. I didn't care who it was, most of them are crackpots, but to my surprise, it ended up being Stacy Westfall.
After giving her tips and doing the clinic, which was simple, old school, (a lot like Denise's way) she took the tack off the horse, and did a performance to music. I realized I had seen a YouTube video of this young lady, before! She is absolutely my favorite trainer, and it made my day. I will find the link...

Yes, from the looks that horse cost at least 40 grand, and she said later that it takes 800 hours IN THE SADDLE to reach that level. But still awesome.
The car club dinner, which I was apprehensive about attending, was to be at 6 pm.
We got done walking the booths closer to 7, but then the teenagers decided they wanted to stay until the end, and they had to find rides. Luckily everyone knows everyone else there and we got out by 7:30.
It was 8pm and I decided to go to the club meeting at the restaurant, even though I had the Toyota and I had sworn I wouldn't go as long as ____ was running the show...
To be continued...
