All day yesterday I kept thinking it was Thursday.
Today was actually Thursday, which means this crappy week is almost over!
(I'm talking about work of course, not the fun stuff like taking pictures and all that.)
Tomorrow I get to take the uncle somewhere, but he wouldn't say what. Yay!
The city has finally decided to re-pave this street. I woke up every day this week to the sound of machines chopping cement. Yay!
Although I never actually got up, from the sound of it, they used saws and then jack hammers and then apparently threw chunks of cement into metal bins.
They are cutting up the curbs where the trees have lifted them up, in order to make the water run smoothly. There used to be a big cesspool where everyone's water would gather in the gutter front of our house, and even the neighbors would take turns sweeping it, because it stinks. Eventually they will grind up the asphalt and recycle it into a new street.
The city is cutting out the curbs and leaving big huge chunks of lawn and dirt hanging. There will be a big storm next week. I wonder what will happen?
